We will delve into the various English disciplines: Dressage, show jumping, eventing and hunt seat. We will learn what makes each unique and what is needed from the rider and horse perspectives. This will include riding.
March 16 Vaulting Instructor: Sarah
Vaulting is gymnastics in harmony with the moving horse. Vaulting allows every child, regardless of age or achievement level, to experience individual success and pleasure. Vaulting is a specialized horse activity that is FUN. It improves confidence, balance, timing, strength, and suppleness, thus making participants better, safer horseback riders. It has been an important part of equestrian training, especially cavalry training, for generations. They will be vaulting on the horse during this camp.
March 23 Horse Agility Instructor: Crystal
Horse Agility is great at keeping your horse fit physically and emotionally. As safety is a very large part of the training for Horse Agility it will help you and your horse to build a more confident relationship when working together. Horse Agility can help build a very close relationship with your horse. As well as keep your horse’s mind working constructively.
March 30 Western Disciplines Instructor: Meghan
Some of the Western activities include horsemanship, western pleasure, reining, cutting, roping, working cow horse, rodeo, western riding, trail riding, gymkhana and team penning. Learn about these various disciplines from the talented Meghan who competes in reining and ranch riding! There will be activities on and off the horse.
